Create a day
- Open the planning of the production (Production > Day Planning, or Planning in the sidebar with the production selected).
- Choose New day activity, or open an activity that is not on the timeline yet and choose Plan a day.
- Set the date and start time, and tick the activities this day serves. A day can serve several activities; a shoot day often covers a scene block and a unit move.
Fill in the day
In the activity panel you add what the day needs:
- Add crew member and Add cast member from your cast & crew list. Each person you add is a budget line, so the strip at the top shows what this does to the budget.
- Add location. When the unit comes from another place the day before, Tubes notes the company move. It can also show the weather for the shoot day and location.
- Add item: the things with a rate, such as a camera package, a studio day or catering.
- Add files: the documents that belong to the day.
- Link scenes to the day for the call sheet and the stripbook.
Save. The panel shows what the day costs, priced from the budget lines you ticked, and what is left in their envelopes.
Publish the day
A new day is a Draft: visible to planners, not to the crew. Publish makes it visible to everyone on the production, including the mobile app. On the Activities tab you can select several days and choose Publish Selected. Unpublish takes a day back to draft.
Change a day
- Duplicate a day to plan the next one with the same crew and locations.
- Reschedule moves a day to another date; Extend days adds days to an activity.
- Split an activity when part of it moves to another window.
Status
A day activity moves from To do to In Progress and Done. Filter the Activities tab by status or by name.
Tip: From a planned day you can generate the call sheet in one step. See Create and send a call sheet.
